The Company Automation Control Solutions has a current opportunity for a Project Management Leader in Northern California area office. The successful candidate will be able to draw from previous construction or engineering management experience to lead operational teams on installations of various sizes. You will manage customer relationships and teams installing DDC Controls, Security Systems, and Fire Alarm Systems. You will work in commercial environments (high rise buildings, airports, corporate campus) as well as institutional environments (schools, hospitals) in both new construction and retrofit projects.
As The Company Project Management Leader you will be responsible for ensuring we have the right teams of trained people providing solutions; managing project schedules, financial plans, manpower plans, project implementation and close-out documentation.

Key responsibilities:
1. Grow the business, manage change, and satisfy customers by building effective team relationships
2. Mentor operational staff on best practices, proper project controls, and training that will provide the most value and provide opportunities for advancement
3. Validate project staffing plans, subcontracts, schedules, and financial plans
4. Travel to job sites and observe the interaction of customers and The Company staff to ensure professional effective communication both internally and externally
5. Coach staff on the recognition and negotiation of changes from documented scope of work
6. Provide a stop gap for Project Management during times of stress
7. Source and onboard new operations employees including Technicians, Project Controls Specialists, Project Engineers, and Project Managers
8. Be familiar with the construction dispute resolution process and use your knowledge of contract documents, labor laws, construction contracts, and construction administration to minimize risk and advise other staff
9. Enhancing productivity by uniformly evaluating behaviors and results of all operational staff and performance managing to a specific level of expectation
Qualifications Basic Qualifications: · BS in Engineering or Construction Management or in lieu of degree 7 years increasingly responsible management experience with new or retrofit construction · 3 years specialty building systems experience with networking, DDC, Fire Alarm, and Security · 3 years Project Management experience in a construction environment Preferred Qualifications: · PMI Certification · MBA · 5 years Project Management experience in a construction environment
